Meet simone reed
As a person and therapist, I cherish each opportunity I have to interact with and support people from all backgrounds. I am a passionate supporter of all identities, and find value in honoring unique worldviews.
My practice is most influenced by experiential, emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), dialectical behavioral therapy, family systems, and strength-based therapy models. This means I value the importance of relationships and recognize how they impact clients’ experiences. I also believe in the innate power my clients possess, and work with them to recognize and utilize their personal strengths in order to achieve their goals.
I specialize in working with the following presenting issues:
· Stress Management
· Issues related to queer identities
· Marriage/Relationship distress
· Family Conflict
· Coping Skills
· Victims of Abuse
· Life Transitions
As our sessions will not be focused on me, of course, I would like to share a little about who I am. I believe it is healthy to know a bit about the therapist you will be sharing the delicate aspects of your life with.
